AustriaTech at the Transport Research Arena 2018

 

Together with the Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, AustriaTech hosts the Transport Research Arena and is the chair of the TRA 2018 Organising Committee. The so-called Interactive Zone, which is part of the exhibition and makes more than 40 demonstration projects and innovative technologies tangible, is a novelty that was conceived and realized specifically for the TRA as part of its organization.

One of the projects presented here is C-Roads, which uses virtual reality to show how cooperative systems in different traffic situations contribute to making traffic safer and more efficient. In addition, AustriaTech will be on site with a stand (E06) to present activities related to automated driving, C-ITS and cross-border travel information services.
During the conference with more than 650 sessions, special attention will be paid to the aspects of decarbonisation and automated driving. Martin Russ, Managing Director of AustriaTech, is organising an Invited Session on "the new urban mobility ecosystems, CCVA and Urban Planning - between Vision and managing Disruption", further papers are available as Scientific Posters on topics such as Linking Services and Datex II.
