Horizon Europe: Martin Russ as an expert for climate-neutral and smart cities

The experts of the mission boards of Horizon Europe were announced – Martin Russ is part of the  "Mission Board for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities"

On 30th of July, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas announced the names of the experts who have been selected as members of the mission boards to work on five major European research and innovation missions within Horizon Europe – the next EU research and innovation programme (2021-2027). Inspired by the Apollo 11, the mission to put a man on the moon, the objective of the European research and innovation missions are to deliver solutions to some oft he greatest challenges facing our world. Each mission board consists of 15 experts, who will will identify the first possible specific missions on cancer, climate change, healthy oceans, climate-neutral cities and healthy soil and food by the end of 2019. Four of the experts are from Austria – next to Maria Vassilakou, the former vice mayoress of Vienna, our managing director Martin Russ i spart oft he mission board for climate-neutral and smart cities as well.
