Continuation of the roll-out of C-ITS in urban areas and coordination of international cooperation
The aim of the European C-Roads platform is to make so-called cooperative systems (C-ITS) accessible throughout Europe. This can significantly improve the exchange of information between vehicles and road infrastructure. Within the framework of the C-Roads platform, 18 European states have joined forces to achieve a strategically coordinated implementation. The C-Roads platform coordinated by Austria serves here as a consolidating interface between the pilots, the European Commission and external stakeholders. The main focus in C-Roads Austria 2 is the continuation of the roll-out of ASFINAG according to the C-ITS strategy of the Ministry and the cooperation with cities (Graz, Vienna, Linz) for the implementation of C-ITS in urban areas.
